Amelia (Essie Davis) and the son (Noah Wiseman) survived by the father didn’t make it. Now, after 6 years, Noah somehow gets convinced that there are some monsters living under his bed. He even has few home constructed weapons to fight them. At the same time, his behaviors changes and it concerns his school teachers as well.

One day Samuel brings a book to his mother and asks her to read it to him. The book has the “The Babadook” on it which is a demonic figure who comes in the night knocking on the door and shouting “Ba-ba-ba-dook-dook-dook”. After that, he devours all the people living in the house. Neither the mother and the son have seen this book ever and even when she tries to get rid of it, the book reappears from nowhere by itself. Things become more interesting when then hear six knocks at their door the same night with a voice shouting “Ba-ba-ba-dook-dook-dook”.

Dead Silence is a good horror movie with a lot of scary elements in it. The movie comes from James Wan who is popular for his “Insidious”, “The Conjuring” and “Furious 7” etc. Unlike many other horror movies, not only this movie is scary, it is fun and keeps the interest of the viewers as well. Ryan Kwanten plays the lead in the movie has lost his wife recently and have recently returned to his hometown. The town is haunted by puppets who were once used by Mary Shaw, a popular puppeteer who was later accused of killing a young boy. The townspeople avenged her by killing her and cutting off her tongue before she died. Now the town is haunted by her spirit and Ryan along with his friends tries to dig deep into the matter. Jacob’s Ladder is an interesting horror movie that is a must watch. It is more of a psychological thriller in which a man loses his child and then starts suffering from delusions. At the same time, he tries to know more about himself and finds himself between real and unreal world. It is very interesting to see the half real and half unreal world from a third person’s eye and how he tries to deal with it. Two sisters come home to their not so good parents, but soon they start feeling a presence of a ghost who interrupts in their daily life.
